Marketing on the Net: Skills and Fantasies

Since I’m fairly sure you can’t earn $50,000 in your first hour of marketing on the net, as some of my spam claims, I’m wondering how to sort out all the different approaches to increasing your hits, increasing your pass-throughs, increasing your audience, and even,  increasing your  seminar sign-ups and Communication Coaches.   I mentioned earlier that the internet gurus seem pretty intent on contradicting themselves, and I keep wondering, “Who’s right?”  Who actually has had success in finding people who are interested in the educational material on the web site?  I’ve heard the porno sites do well, but somehow, my approach to sorting out  mis-communication  doesn’t seem compatible with  the material on  the porno sites.  In fact, I recently nixed a profitable deal because they insisted on complete control of marketing.  I would have had nothing to say about how the people skills we teach were presented to the public.   Why would they insist on complete control unless they had in mind some approach that I would not agree to?  At first I was so blinded by the vision of exchanging our skills for buckets of money that I missed the significance of the “No control over marketing issue.” My second son, an attorney, woke me up.  He said,”Mom, you can’t sign this.”  The buckets of money dissolved slowly.
